One of the best parts of any home renovation is the total transformation once every last detail is complete. We love seeing the finished product, side by side with the original space as it helps to truly appreciate all of the time, effort and money spent on updating your home.

Take a look at 3 of our favorite “before and afters” from the past few years. They may inspire you to start thinking about your own renovation, so contact us here!

A Wakefield bathroom goes from dated and awkward to fun and functional

As most people know in the design and renovation industries, wallpaper is back and having a moment! Our client in Wakefield wasn’t afraid to use a fun and whimsical wallpaper in their new bathroom, and it certainly ensures this space is anything but sterile and boring. Godfrey Design-Build also added *much needed* storage and adjusted the layout to capitalize on the natural light. The result is clean and bright with great design.

Before: Awkward layout and Zero Storage

Basement: No Natural Light? No Problem!

Renovating a basement in New England can be a daunting task. A 1920s home with limited natural light? The team at Godfrey Design-Build wasn’t afraid of taking on this basement in Wenham. The team added plenty of ceiling lights and painted the natural brick Sherwin Williams’ “White Flour” which kept the space light and bright. The end result? Much needed space for a growing family that is both beautiful and functional.

One of our Favorite Kitchen Updates

One of the most dramatic transformations here at Godfrey Design-Build was a kitchen update in Stoneham.  The original space was dark, dated, and lacked substantial countertop and cabinet space. Coupled with a cramped and awkward layout, it was not functioning as a family space.

Before:

The new kitchen feels like an entirely different house! Godfrey Design-Build helped to create a bright, open, and functional space, with a flowing floor plan and fun pops of red. Walls were removed to provide a dining area connected to the kitchen, so that this family could cook and eat together. The resulting space is perfect for preparing a meal and entertaining family and friends.
